Meet Luke! This handsome boy came to visit us this weekend for a post operation check. He was recently castrated and also had some airway surgery to widen his nostrils and remove a section of his soft palate.
Like Luke, breeds such as Pugs, French Bulldogs, Shih Tzus and many others have what is known as Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS), so their nostrils are too narrow and they have excessive soft tissue round their throat. This operation has helped dramatically with this! We wish Luke well with his recovery
Follow the link to find out more – if you have a flat-faced breed and would like to book in for airway surgery or discuss this condition some more, please do call us on 01159727050!
