Full time Veterinary Surgeon required to support small animal team in Long Eaton Nottingham

The surgery is fully equipped with all the latest equipment, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory and much more. In addition the practice has a very competent nursing team as well as a friendly and experienced reception team to which helps make the practice run as smoothly as possible.

The position is for a permanent full time veterinary surgeon to work within our 4 Vet OOH team. The 4 week rota includes 1 week nights, 1 week off and 2 weeks on the day rota. We embrace flexible working and would be happy to discuss a three week rota which including one week of nights.

A second on call veterinary surgeon from our experienced day team will be on hand during the week of nights. The rota allows for continued support from our team of vets which includes certificate holders in Ophthalmology, Surgery, Medicine and Dermatology.

The successful candidate would ideally have at least one years experience in a small animal practice, however, this is not essential and the position would equally suite a new graduate looking for a challenging position. Training will be given in the first 10 weeks to ensure the candidate is comfortable with the procedures and protocols of the practice.

The package would include a competitive salary along with CPD allowance subscriptions to RCVS, BSAVA, BVA and VDS. A company pension scheme is available after the 3-month probationary period. Accommodation will be provided if necessary.
