We work very closely with Pet Blood Bank, a UK based charity providing blood for transfusions for unwell dogs.
They are always looking for new donors, particular those of the following breeds: Dobermanns, Greyhounds, Boxers, German Shepherds, Flat-Coated Retrievers, Airedale Terriers, Weimaraners, Lurchers, American Bulldogs, Pointer (English) and English Bull Terriers.
Besides loving all the treats and fuss we give our dedicated donors, in order to donate blood your dog must be:
Fit and healthy
Between one and eight years old
Weigh more than 25kg
Have a good temperament
Have never travelled abroad
Not on any medication
For more information and to register your interest, please visit their website: www.petbloodbankuk.org
We are having some essential maintenance work completed at the Long Eaton Hospital which means we will not have use of the prep area and theatres over the forthcoming weekend
Due to the layout of our building it makes it hard to distance effectively within our consulting rooms
No large mid-line incision, only two small incisions for the camera and equipment port!
