Meet Our Reception Staff
Jane, has been working for us since 1993 and is our Reception Manager. She trains our new reception staff and deals with most of our client insurance claims, in 2006 she won the Petplan Insurance Advisor of the year!
Jane is the “Mum” of the practice, always there with a shoulder for people who need it. She has two Jack Russells – Wesley and Winston and a cat – George (You can read his story here).
Jane enjoys visits to Derbyshire and can often be found in her caravan there.
Jo is our Deputy Reception Manager. She has been with use since 2000 and is qualified up to Level 2 in BSL. Jo also deals with insurance claims. She is available on reception at various times Monday-Friday.
She has 4 cats called Pearl, Lime, Rory and Pepper, and a bouncy Labrador called Gunner; all of which have been rehomed from Ashfield House…and two royal pythons called Yorkie & Venus.
Outside of work, Jo likes motor racing, walking and swimming.
Sam started working as a receptionist at Ashfield House in September 2002. She is our Saturday receptionist and has 2 dogs – Oscar and Paddy; and 2 Rex rabbits Roobarb and Neelee.
Sam also started her own business Safe and Sound Pet Sitters in August 2007.
I’ve worked as a receptionist at Ashfield House since 2008 and I love my job! I enjoy seeing all the animals and building a rapport with the clients. I have a cheeky border terrier called Arthur and love taking him for walks in country and away to the seaside.
Jane has worked on reception for Ashfield House since May 2012.
She lives at home woth her dogs Edward and Mathew, Lucy and India her 2 cats, 3 horses and Albert the tortoise.
I have worked for Ashfield since 2016 on the reception team which i love. I have 2 dogs Harley the doberman and lulu the dachshund. I have 1 ragdoll named Ganon and 2 domestic short-hairs named Pringle and Edwin both from Ashfield House Vets.
I have done my Vet Nursing Assistant course in 2018 also i achieved my Animal Behaviour, Canine Nutrition, Feline Behaviour and Physiology, Feline Stress and Caring for Elderly Pet CPD certificate courses.
Currently I am working towards my Level 3 PETbc Accredited Dog Behaviour Diploma.
Our Receptionists at Byron
Ann joined the practice in January 2009 as a weekday Receptionist. She has been nominated before for Pet Plan Receptionist of the year.
Ann has 2 pets George and Monty – a Lab/Spaniel who looks nothing like either breed.
